As a (short) article in Time points out (Sept 1, 2008), Twitter has inspired something called "Mini-lit" - examples, The 5 Word Theater Review, The Six Word Memoir, The 12 Word Novel.

But short, content-rich media bits have been around for a lot longer than Twitter. They're called TV and radio ads. I remember quite a few years ago sitting in the studio chopping out whole phrases and sentences till the wordy script fit nicely into 15 sec. That's not very many words, but it always surprised me how much you could say in that little bit of time.

We're doing the same thing with web videos. Our little product is called Quick Web Videos. Short and sweet. None of this talking head stuff blathering on and on about nothing.

Creating Short Videos

In spite of how easy Youtube and other sites have made it to get videos online, most business people are still intimidated by the thought of actually producing a video decent enough to represent their company.

And getting something produced by a professional video production company is enough to frighten most of us off. I've been on both sides of the video production thing, so I know all about it.

There should be an easier, less expensive way to produce decent videos for uploading to Youtube, etc., and now there is. It's called QuikVideo from Linknet Video.

Short videos can have just as much impact as longer ones - SEO impact as well as viewers. And in fact, that can result in significant traffic to your site if you optimize the video correctly.

This is an example of a QuikVideo from Linknet Video. It was produced quickly and inexpensively, and it was then uploaded to more than 30 different sites where it is now being seen by potentially thousands of people.
