Reviews of "The Super Affiliate
Handbook"
by Rosalind Gardner
by Rick Hendershot,
Linknet Marketing Resource
Library
Certainly one of the most successful
books about Affiliate Marketing to ever hit the cyber shelves is
Rosalind Gardner's "The Super Affiliate Handbook". Given the dramatic
claims that are made for this book — both by Rosalind herself, and by
the army of willing affiliates that sell it —one is led to ask whether
the hype is just a bit overdone.
So I have pulled together some of the reviews of this product I have
found on the web and made a list of them with just a few of my own
comments. This list is far from complete, and I will do my best to add
new resources as I find them.
Just one note: I have purchased this book, and I fully intend
to read it some day. After about 100 pages I felt it was sounding too
much like several other things I have already read and much of the
advice was just general internet marketing stuff — not
"affiliate-specific" enough. But I will reserve my final judgement
until I finish reading the rest of it. I
must add my usual caveat about "affiliate products" and reviews of
them. It is difficult to find objective reviews because the reviewers
are often just using the review as a promotional tool to sell the
product. They are affiliate agents of this product and are not likely
to do anything to discourage a potential sale. I have expanded a bit
on this problem in another article in this series called
"The Problem with the Affiliate System".
The Reviews...
Business-Reviews.com - Very positive review. Highly recommends the
book. Webmaster is an affiliate.
klausdahl.com - Klaus' conclusion: "...This is
a fantastic book! One of the absolutely best books I’ve ever read on
Affiliate Marketing – maybe even the best." The reviewer says
he is "independent", and I could not find any affiliate links in the
article.
ez-search-engine-optimization.com - Another glowing review — by an
affiliate.
profits.cc - Discusses the book in some detail, and gives it a
glowing review. This is another affiliate.
reviewbooth.com - The reviewer, Wesley Atkins, praises the detail
that R.G. goes into in the book, and gives it another glowing review.
Another affiliate.
mvalue.com - Another positive review extolling this book as "perhaps
one of the greatest "insider" ebooks around". Also another affiliate.
programreview.com - I can't believe it. A reviewer who has
something negative to say about this book. But wait...There is
no identification on any of the articles, some of the important links
don't go anywhere, and the blog has only one entry in it.
Further evidence that you can't make money online unless you are
prepared to hype products? That's
it for now... |
